Duke – Duta Ulu Klang Expressway

DUKE, short for Duta Ulu Klang Expressway. A few days back, I took DUKE from Jalan Duta to KLCC. I was at Jalan Duta around 7:45 am, peak hours to the office.  I wast not late nor I was in the rush, was just trying something new.

It was relaxing and peaceful driving on DUKE. No jams, the tolls was not crowded too. Around 2km after the toll, I took the Jalan Semarak & Pusat Bandaraya exit. At that time it was only 8am. It took me only 15minutes to reach Jalan Semarak Exit from Jalan Duta during the morning peak hours. Sounds good.

But once I’m on Jalan Semarak, the stress and headache start coming already. Its another 3-4km to Jalan Tun Razak. It took me another 30min to reach the end of Jalan Semarak – which is Jalan Tun Razak lah.

Once i’m on Jalan Tun Razak the jams was bearable.

Usually I took Jalan Kuching to KLCC from Jalan Duta, and it took me roughly 30min to reach KLCC. So in conclusion my journey to KLCC is better with Jalan Kuching, plus the distance is shorter and cheaper. Dont have to pay toll for RM2.50.

I’m sure it benefits people from Ampang that is heading towards Jalan Duta & Damasara area. Feel free to share your story people.
