Malaysia International Gourmet Festival 2009

This will be my 1st time encountered such event in Malaysia. According to Malaysia Tourism, Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) primary aims were to increase the size of the local fine dining population for the mutual benefit of the participating restaurants; to create a sustained interest in the local fine dining scene; and, ultimately, to establish Malaysia as an international culinary tourism destination of choice.
I assume this festival will be well known among chefs and restaurants. Sounds big to me. I’m assuming thoose who are inline with cooking and preparing great dishes this will be an event not to be missed. From the event calender I can see that lots of well known chef are taking turns to show off their skills.
