Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya – MBPJ

Petaling Jaya – a very popular and well know place in Malaysia, in short it is also called PJ. Siapa tak kenal  PJ? I think if not ALL Malaysia, majority of us knows PJ very well. PJ was uplifted as a City status on 20 June 2006, back then it was MPPJ (Majlis Perbandaran Petaling Jaya) now Majlis Bandaraya Petaling Jaya – MBPJ .

MBPJ is located at Jalan 52 Petaling Jaya, before reaching Section 7. Its nearby AMCORP mall. If you plan to take LRT to MBPJ, the nearest stop will be TAMAN JAYA, it will be around 200m walks to MBPJ.

The reason I’m writing this post is to share with all of us regarding MBPJ surrounding environments. A few days back I was doing some banking transaction to a few banks in that area, i went to Maybank, Bank Simpanan Nasional and Standard Chartered. I found it very convinience as it had all the banks I required in one place. Its like a one stop center.

On my way back, it was circling MBPJ building and found out that there were many other banks located at that area.  Here are the lists of banks located at MBPJ building

  • Ambank
  • Standard Chartered
  • Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN)
  • Maybank
  • RHB
  • UOB
  • EON Bank
  • HSBC
  • Al Rajhi
  • Public Bank
  • CIMB
  • Hong Leong Bank
  • Bank Rakyat
  • Affin Bank

There were also

  • Kedai Tenaga (TNB)
  • TMPoint (TM)

Personally I think its a very convinience place to go too if you dont use your online banking tools. If you need to do banking transaction business to multiple of banks, this will be a good place to go too.

  1. I am a resident staying at Kelana Jaya. How can I make complaints about my residential area?

  2. Now I am staying a Kelana Sentral Apartment in Kelana Jaya.
I am not happy with the environment at my residential apartment because 70% of the inhabitants are students. The students are very inconsiderate for they make lots of noise. Also, I was overcharged for the water that I use. There are only two people staying but I have to pay more than RM30.00 per month. Also, I have to pay very high quit rent (cukai pintu) RM 800 per year. This is not fair because the place has turned into a HOSTEL for students.
