Well most of us Malaysian own a Proton car, roughly according to one of the statistics 60% to 80% of Malaysian are using Malaysian made car either from Proton or Produa. I myself own two of Proton car namely the Iswara & Perdana.

 

Most of the service center requires you to make an appointment to attend and service your car. If you know the date you wanted to service your car, make sure you call them one week earlier, if not you might get disappointed!

 

Some of the popular service center like Mutiara Damansara Service Center will be fully booked if you call one week before, so plan early to get from the best!

 

Yesterday I’ve serviced my Perdana at Bukit Maluri Service Center, manage to get an appointment last Tuesday, a few days before.

 

I’m sure people who stayed in Bukit Maluri Service Center knows the place, but as for me … I actually got lost along the way before finding the place. If you know the location of Puspakom at Bukit Maluri, I’m sure you’ll have no problem finding the service center.

 

Before proceed into the service center, get your number from the guard house, it took me two hours of waiting before I was attending to at the counter.

  1. proton edar after sales service is damn suck..oways break promise..last 2 week i bought a proton exora..the sales person tell me a date take car..untill the date i never receive a call ask me 2 collect..i oredi left my thing and arange the time for collect car..then need me call many time 2 the sales person baru he tell me dat day cant take..bcos of blablabla..then ok..he promise again few day later to collect..same thing happen again..no call at all..i call him ..he tell me again cannot collet the car on dat day..oh no..i oredi request the day off to collect my car nw u tell me cant? u think we so free1 meh….ok,,,he tell me again dis friday collect..but dat morning he tell me will got oter person in charge will inform wat time to collect..i wait untill nite no call at all..i keep call the sales person but he din answer call..just sms me say he is on leave and ask me go 2 proton edar centre to ask by myself..oh shit..what kind of service is this!! ok ..i go to the proton edar centre at jln puchong..the sales man there (JOESH WONG) services very bad no mannes at all…

  5. Yes, the Penang Auto City service center is the worst as they don’t have phone line answered even you wait till night !!!!!!! SUCKS BIG TIME !

  6. i pakai saga 2009.sebulan beli auto tingkap penumpang depan dah rosak.sekarang bila start enjin bunyi macam besi halus yang dilaga laga…nak tunggu services yang seterusnya.harap proton dapat buat enjin 1.4 macam honda jazz atau 1.5 …sebab terasa ‘under power’ bila nak memotong,bawa lebih dari 3 orang penumpang dan of course masa naik daki bukit.bkn nak condem proton, saja nak luahkan masalah yang terpendam.

  10. saje nak tanye ape kelebihan guna stabilizer yg di pasang di battery keta?benda ni ade di jual di kdai kaki motor di sunway..dan sesape yg penah pakai tlg beri skit info pasal benda ni.

  12. salam semo….. saya ade book saga BLM kat pandan jaya branch… masalah saya sama dgn sedari Ms. Ng… First time beli keta dlm plastik.. Salesman tu namanye Mr. Yee… I dah submit all documents untuk loan… bkn main lame kena tunggu… almost 3 weeks lps bank call baru dpt tahu loan dah approved… tu pun nasib baik terasa nak call mangkuk Yee tu…. kalau tak.. mampus xtau pun loan approved… pastu dia promise on monday a week later I can pick up the car… so I take leave… excited sbb first time dpt keta dlm plastik.. pagi2 lg I call mamat tu… sampai ke ptg xdpt… mmg frust giler… so next day I try call banch directly… receptionist tu bgtau mamat tu dah amik keta pagi2 lg nak pegi cuci and hand it over to me… so nevermind la.. I wait… tunggu punye tunggu mamat tu x call pun and I called him…. “OK bang.. OK bang… your car dah ready for collection… bila you senang blh datang angkat ha?” what da fuck!! the proton branch ngan lrt pandan jaya tu xdela jauh sgt… I take lrt from my office to pandan jaya… we buy car… salesman got commission… 5km distance xblh ke nak pickup customer?? I took taxi… I got urgent meeting later in the evening… I signed the paperwork and scan throughly interior/exterior of the car.. You know what… it wasn’t washed… and empty fuel tank.. just enough for to reach petrol station… tu pun I need to send that car for paint touch up at RH rear door… it seems that proton PDI overlooked the paint defect… and again I asked mamat Yee tu how? “just go to any branch.. they will repair for you…”
    So on saturday, I went looking for service center.. the closest to my home EON Service Jalan Tun Razak… jawapan yg I received… ” Bang.. kita xbuat keje repair untuk proton edar.. kalau buat servis je…”
    OK… I’m still in a good mood… So I went looking for Proton Edar Service Center… I found one in Desa Tun Razak…. so I ask the girl.. Got some paint defect at RH rear door.. what to do? That girl told me “You should not signed and took the car in the first place if I found any abnormalities to the car”… dia suruh I complaint back to salesman.. kalau I nak repair jugak… she told I have to pay on my own… SUCK!!!
    Today I’m trying my luck and see how it comes… reached first 1K already…

    I’m too frustrated with sales and service of PROTON. I’ve been with automotive industries for 7 years (Toyota)… I respect Syed Zainal for bringing PROTON out of dark era… So people in PROTON, bark up… buang la tabiat lembu kenyang (I know there’s still good worker out there)….

    Think about it:
    I know nothing about car.. I buy a new PROTON and there’s one component is missing. Because I know nothing about car, I signed and drive the car back. Then I realize the was something missing from the car.. So I make report to service center, then mangkuk over there told me not to signed and drive the car back… DOES IT MAKE SENSE?????

    The car chassis no. engine no. are on the bank’s paperwork… Are they going to give a new car and change everything inside the bank’s agreement?????
    For those who know, they can straight away complaint, but for those who doesn’t know? especially women.. just REDHA and PASRAH jela when buying PROTON. What a waste of Syed Zainal’s effort to bring PROTON back to life.

    Think about it!!!!!!!!!!!

    One more thing, please do not book proton from Mr. Yee (Pandan Jaya Branch)… the service is mother of all SUCKS……

  13. I dapat sales person yang superb.. Kalau korang nak tempah keta baru, boleh I kenalkan… Dalam masa 3 minggu sahaja, Exora yang I nak tu dah dapat.. Memang dia kena fight dengan other salesperson untuk kejar stok.. Kalau takde kenderaan dia sanggup datang ambik kita.. n very friendly… area Shah Alam and Klang…

    btw, kat mana SC Proton yang terdekat dengan Shah Alam?

  14. Saya baru beli kete Saga BLM. First time antar servis dah kena tukar minyak gear. Saya confused, apakah minyak gear perlu ditukar walau pun jarak perjalanan baru mencecah 1,200km. Yg saya tahu cuma minyak pelincir(lubricant) saja yg perlu tukar. Apakah servis centre kat Semambu, Kuantan ni sengaja untuk mencari keuntungan dengan cara menipu pelanggan?

  15. Saya pakai kereta waja Campro 1.6 auto tahun 2007.. masaalah kereta saya lampu warning brek dan lampu ABS sentiasa bernyala setelah 2 tahun pakai. Saya dah pergi check ke proton service ia kata waja campro memang bermasaalah begitu, kereta bolih jalan tapi brek manual saja berfungsi… apakah cara penyelesaiannya, bagaima nak baiki…. berapa kosnya… tk

    TO THE TOP MANAGEMENT OF PROTON IF EVER YOU READ. I`m proud of my country. I will and continue to support Malaysian car despite some would refer it as 3rd class copycat of Japanese leftover product. I had used Saga Magma 1st model, 1.5I, Gen 2 and of date had already booked INSPIRA 2.0P on the launching day (Nov 2010)and was promised that the delivery of INSPIRA 2.0P would be within ONE month of the booking date, IT GOES TOGETHER WITH MANY OTHER PROMISES AND ATTRACTIONS. Wow…. what a wonderful new image of proton-New model(Lancer CLONE- WHICH I DONT MIND))and new identity of proton staff/agent. I really want to be proud as the early bird to support PROTON, sold my faithful and quite reliable Gen 2, paid the down payment and secured loan as the proton people convinced me that, it would expedite the delivery, theY even booked the number PLATE for my NEW car ! “You will be driving your new car to CELEBRATE Christmas“ they said. Haa….ha…ha… I am a FOOL, A BLOODY FOOL INDEED, despite having read all the negative remarks in the web, AND still I am BLIND TO SEE THE REALITY. Today 7th Jan 2011, SIX times HAVING contacted proton I-CARE 1300-880-8888 SINCE December 2010, the same answers as scripted politely, “ we will attend your complaint sir, and register it on computer,and Mr Lim, our senior officer is very much aware and is handling your case personally. You are our first priority on the list. He will call you soonest to let you know of the latest development“. To date i do not know who Mr Lim is and He or any other proton people had not even call/tell me anything either. Oooo GOD When will i get my INSPIRA 2.0P ? SHOULD I ASK YAB TUN DR MAHATHIR for this? my request is, an honest answer and not a lie or empty promiseS, being a proud Malaysian i am prepared to wait until the end of the year, if so and proton to take advantage of my down payment money PAID, if they need So, in order to support the national car project. WHO KNOWS THAT`S THE WAY THEY DO BUSINESS. I ASHAMED TO BE MYSELF STUPID FOOL……TQ.

    actually klu keta baru, menda2 yg kena tukar cuma engine oil, oil filter, drain plug gasket & air filter je…yg lain2 tu cuma check je…pastu minya engine tu sebenarnya kena tukar setiap 40,000km…jd nampak sgt la PE semambu kuantan dah tipu en mohd noh….jd hati2 next time…diorang klu bleh semuanya nk tukar baru…

    sori tsalah taip plak kat atas tu, yg kena tukar setiap 40,000km tu minyak gear…minyak enjin tu ditukar depan on penggunaan jenis minyak yg kita pakai samada semi-synthetic (4000-5000km) @ fully synthetic (9000-10000km)

    saya baru pakai kereta saga blm dan baru drive dalam 1k km namun ape masalah tayar sebelah depan kanan bila jalan x rata bunyi macam loceng..ape masaalh sebenar atau aper harus saye buat?

  23. Do you have your website that shows where your service centres are? Other car have but not proton? So frustrated that I am not able to find from the website except 1 or 2 only and that is their own initiative, not proton!,
